Accusing the government of deceiving the people in the name of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Congress on Thursday said that eligible persons are not getting the benefit of this scheme. State Congress media convenor Lalan Kumar said in a statement that the BJP governments at the Center and the state make big claims about the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, but their reality is something else.
Kumar said that the house that Rawat was supposed to get under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was not yet found. The concerned employees and officers have met many times but their file is still wandering from office to office. He said that this is an example of a disorder in the name of a housing scheme.
Kumar told that he promised Rawat that he would build a house for him in the next few days according to his own ability. At the same time, Congress will try to provide the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the eligible people in the entire state and if needed, a movement will also be launched. Kumar said that bread, cloth, and houses are basic needs of any human being, but the government is not paying any attention to them at all.
